To activate alarm, insert key into cylinder and turn to ''armed'' position. The LED light will come on. A 15 second delay allows you to exit the door before unit becomes armed.
After 15 seconds, movement of the door separates alarm from magnetic strip, causing alarm to sound.
There are field selectable options for alarm length. Set this during installation.
To disarm alarm, insert key and turn to ''disarmed'' position. LED will shut off letting you know alarm is now shut down.
You can also use a separte RIM cylinder intalled from the outside of the door to arm/disarm the unit.
