Gut Guard®
The Gut Guard™ is a one of a kind,
innovative product that substantially reduces the chance of
puncturing an animal's stomach during field dressing. The Gut
Guard allows for a safe, one handed operation when making the
cut from the base of the belly to the breastbone of the animal.
The Gut Guard™ is designed to be used with most hunting knives.
Instructions:
To use the Gut Guard™, simply place the hunting knife sharp edge
up with the tip of the blade pointing forward and the handle
inserted into the trough of the tool. Insert the bulbous nose
into a small incision made at the base of the belly, just ahead
of the pelvic bone and simply push the tool, with the knife
forward toward the breastbone of the animal. The bulbous nose of
the Gut Guard™ helps prevent the possibility of puncturing the
animals stomach and the one handed operation makes it less
likely to injure your fingers.
