Dell laptop AC jacks

The AC jack in your Dell laptop connects the power supply's tip into the motherboard thus providing the power needed to run the machine.  If you notice that this internal plug is loose it would be highly recommended to get it replaced.  Not all AC jacks are created equal, and some are easier to install than others.  For example, if your AC jack is integrated into the motherboard itself you will need to have a specialist, with the necessary tools, install it via component level repair. On the other hand, newer Dell notebooks today no longer have the AC jack directly integrated into the motherboard but instead are integrated onto a seperate board which is easily removed and installed.  You can search for the AC jack that belongs to your Dell laptop by choosing your model or by contacting us.
