Title: Mitsui Store at Suruga-machi Edo by Hokusai
Size: Approx. 38 inches wide by 24 inches long. Rod not included due to shipping restrictions.
Description: Colors in shades of soft yellow, blues and spring green with dramatic black outlining. Gray blue mottled border.
History: Reprint on fabric by an original art work by Hokusai (1760-1849) from his series entitled "The Thirty Six View of Mt. Fuji. The scene depicts dry goods store being re-roofed by workmen who are perched precariously on the slope of the roof. Mount Fuji and kites make up the background.
Our horizontal size wall hangings (wide) are usually made from tenugui that are printed horizontally so the panel is wider than it is long. They are machine quilted, hand-guided, using two layers of low loft polyester batting to provide added depth and dimension.
