History: Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) was a prolific woodblock artist perhaps best known for his collection entitled "53 Stations of the Tokaido. This portrays one stop at Kawasaki where on the bank wait a group of people with horse and palanquin; at the tollhouse a man is just paying his fare. This ferry ride took travelers to and from Edo.

Our horizontal size wall hangings (wide) are usually made from tenugui that are printed horizontally so the panel is wider than it is long. They are machine quilted, hand-guided, using two layers of low loft polyester batting to provide added depth and dimension.
