DESCRIPTION: Heartwood color varies from light to dark reddish-brown.Straight to interlocked grain with a uniformly medium to coarse texture. Dark colored gum or white deposits commonly occur in the pores. Occansional wormholes. COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: South America BOTANICAL NAME: Swietenia Macrophylla WORKING PROPERTIES: Works great with hand or power tools. Glue, nails & screws well. Stains & polishes to an excellent finish. USES: Many wood working projects from Guitars to furniture. SIZES: The stock is surfaced on two sides to 1 3/4" thickness by 6" & wider by 36"-96" in lengths. NOTE: Widths & lengths may vary up to 1/16" of an inch.
