New Features
1) My Company:
A) The Company Information screen now allows you
to add several Sales Dept. E-mail addresses to your
online shopping cart - the software can now send sales
notifications to multiple e-mail addresses. Please
separate e-mail addresses with a semi-colon ( ; ).
B) Retail & Wholesale Payment Options - UK online
stores / shopping carts can now process Solo / Switch
/ Maestro cards as payment methods to accept. If you
are from the UK, and use an online merchant account
and payment gateway to process credit cards through
your web store, please make sure that your gateway
allows you to accept these types of cards before you
enable them.
C) Retail Options & Wholesale Options - Offering
discounts at your online shopping Cart . The software
includes a whole new section - you can now add multiple
types of discounts to online shoppers viewing your
Ecommerce Website for both online stores, wholesale
and retail. Discounts can be specified based on a
percentage off, or a monetary value off for every
dollar amount in the shopping cart or per items in
the cart.
D) Sales Tax Setup - You can now set up taxes for
any country, no matter where your business is located.
2) My Web Pages:
A) Online Store Templates for Category and Product
Web Pages! - You can now select among six different
types of templates - there are three different designs
for the category pages and three other designs for
the product pages. When you select a design it will
be used to build your online store Web pages. The
available designs are very attractive - this is a
true innovation available now on the FORTUNE3 Wizard.
In order to select the type of template make sure
you switch between Category templates and Product
templates from the top of the screens ("Page
Type" section), and the select which template
design you want to use to create the Web pages. Please
note that Modifying the coding of your cart templates
is possible, but it is quite complex, and only a programmer
with high programming skills should be able to modify
these complex templates. Because of its complexity,
FORTUNE3 cannot provide support for Cart Templates
that have been modified or whose code has been altered.
B) Web Site Buttons! - You can now choose from a variety
of button styles (such as the Add to Cart button)
to use on your online shopping cart. Use a Graphics
Design Software to modify any set of buttons.
C) Shopping Cart Checkout - Options! - You can now
Add or Remove any optional fields from your checkout.
Uncheck any fields that you don't want to appear on
the checkout.
You can also add any custom fields on the bottom of
the screen - these custom fields will be available
to the online shopper during the shopping cart checkout:
i.e. You can prompt the buyer to type in any information
- Use the "Field Caption" field for this
purpose. Make sure to click on the Add > button
once you have set up your custom checkout fields.
Please note that the One-Step Checkout button will
not do anything at the moment, the One-Step Checkout
is still being prepared and will be available soon.
The same thing goes for the checkmark that reads "Allow
Customers to Save Cart for Later".
D) More Settings - Many new checkmarks were added
to this section, you can easily uncheck any item that
you do not want to display on your shopping cart pages.
Please note that the menu items checkmark that reads
"Rate this Site" is still being tweaked.
This will not be added to your Website at the moment
while it is being tweaked, however, it will start
working within the next couple of days automatically
if you have it checked.
3) My Products:
A) Meta Tags for Category and Product Pages! - You
can now specify the Title, Description, Keywords,
and Filename that you want to assign to each product
or category page. These fields are located in each
product's and each category's Properties window.
B) Tab Setup! - Click on Tab Setup on any product's
Properties to add and setup attractive Tabs to your
product pages. Each Tab you have can include your
own text and/or HTML code, and you can choose to put
tokens in the tabs that call up each product's individual
properties. You may right-click on any Tab to rename
it, and create new tabs. 3 Tabs are created by default
when you click on Tab Setup, you can choose to keep
any of these 3 tabs, change the information each tab
contains, or delete any tab. You can also click on
"Copy these settings for every product"
to copy the Tab Setup you are in to all of your products,
however, be careful with this, as every time you click
on it, it will replace any previously edited Tabs
on every product of your online store.
C) Product Icons! - You can now Add small attractive
pre-defined icons to your product and category Web
pages (only works with new category and product template
layouts) that let the customers know if this product
is a Bargain, Great Idea, Hot Deal, or has Fast Shipping.
Simply checkmark the icons you want each particular
product to show.
D) Downloadable Products! - You can now have products
be downloadable online (digital products). Simply
browse for the file that you want customers to be
able to download when they purchase this product,
and the whole process will be automated. Once your
customers purchase a downloadable product, their confirmation
page and e-mail will have a link to download their
purchased file. Please note that downloadable products
incur no shipping costs.
E) Different Retail / Wholesale Options and Hide a
Product from your Website! - On the section that reads
"Show Product On", you can now select if
you want to show your product on both your retail
and wholesale Web sites, only on the retail, only
on the wholesale, or on neither one of them (Do Not
Show will hide the product from the entire site).
You can also select a different Minimum and Maximum
Qty Order amount for each product for the retail and
wholesale Web sites.
F) Options as Checkmarks! - You can now have your
products with options offer options as checkmarks.
This is particularly done for product "Add-Ons",
if you want to have customers be able to select multiple
options (choices) with their products. You may access
this by going to any "Group of Options"
properties, and selecting "Check Box" on
the Display Options Using section. Each check box
option can but does not need to have a price variation.
Other Features:
The Fortune3™ Ecommerce Wizard provides
the ability to move products, categories, and options
up and down at your online catalog: Easily arrange
items and categories in the order that you want.
20 new,
extended E-Commerce templates with special features
that older templates did not provide, with up to 8
color variations for each template. Special features
include the online shopping cart being displayed on
Web pages at all times, and advertising / promotion
of products special offers, best sellers, and new
items.
Inventory
Management Control - specify and update the quantity
you have available for each product by importing from
a spreadsheet, you can also export your current inventory
to your accounting software, including Quickbooks®
and Peachtree®, and automatically set the software
to remove products when sold out and notify you of
it. This is available in the Administration Site.
Add up
to 7 images per product Web page; with one main image,
and up to 6 additional thumbnails can be displayed
beneath the main product image; thus customers can
click on to view the full images.
Add a Company
Shipping Rule based on states, you can now set your
own shipping costs for each state!
The ability
to allow domestic orders only, no international orders.
Add a flat
rate handling fee to all of your shipping costs.
Specify
what type of product information you want display
on your Category and Product Web pages. This is located
on "My Web Pages" Options button.
The ability
for customers to log in and review their online shopping
cart orders and the status. This is available on the
new templates.
For a Product
with Options, allow your customers to add to their
shopping cart a quantity for every option available.
This is available through the "Group of Options"
icon.
A Default
FAQ page that explains to customers how to order online,
and how secure the online shopping cart is.
If you
do not ship products, you can now set it up so that
the system skips the shipping calculation process
and does not come out with a shipping cost.
Specify
whether you want your main products Web page to display
all of your Products, Special Offers only, or Special
Deals only. This is located on "My Web Pages"
Options button.
Specify
how many products you want to display per Web page
on the category and product Web pages. This is located
on "My Web Pages" Options button.
The default
option can now have a price variation as the Alternate
Options.
Specify
whether your customers can or can't select the default
option when they are ordering, this is used if your
default option is "Please Select".
The ability
to add / delete promotional codes manually without
importing the data. This is available in the Administration
Site of your Online Store.
