New Features on Version 2010:
- Upload Speed Improvement / Backup File Changes / Automatic Updates
- The time it takes to upload changes to your website has been reduced significantly, the wizard can now recognize what modifications have been made to the website and upload only what has been changed. Small changes can now be uploaded within just a few seconds, no matter how large your online store is.
- Please note that the first time you use the new 2010 Version, your upload will take longer than usual, because your entire store and all images need to be re-uploaded, but after the first upload, it will become much faster.
- Please note that the Wizard will no longer automatically upload a backup of your site every time you upload. Because the backup file upload was a main reason for uploading delays, the upload of your backup file is now separate from the general upload. Once your site uploads complete, you will now be asked if you want to upload a backup file or not. If you choose not to upload a backup file, you will not be able to recover the data from that upload from the Admin Site's "Rescue Company Data".
- You can now create a Rescue file locally from the Fortune3 Wizard and instantly. On the Import / Export menu, "Export Company Data (to Rescue File)", will now create a full backup file locally on your PC, containing everything that is needed to transfer your site's data to another PC (including your data, images, template files, web page files, etc).
- The Fortune3 Wizard now automatically checks for updates and newer versions every time the software is accessed, and will allow you to install any updates for it seamlessly.
- My Company
- Use periods or commas for decimal places.
- Taxable Shipping Costs - Your sales taxes can now be applied to shipping costs.
- Countries and States Listing fully updated to latest databases.
- Australia Post Shipping Quotes now integrated for Australian companies.
- Canada Post Shipping Quotes now integrated for Canadian companies.
- All USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, and DHL methods have been updated to the latest services offered.
- Shipping by Zip/Postal Codes - You can now create Shipping Rules based on groups of zip codes or postal codes.
- Shipping Rules by Order Qty - All of the Shipping Rule types available are now also offered as "Based on the Order Qty" (# of items in cart), in addition to the standard "Based on Invoice Amount or Shipping Weight".
- Re-name a "Shipping Cost Rule" by right-clicking on it.
- Custom Box weight - You can now specify the weight of your custom boxes for more accurate shipping cost calculations.
- General Use Boxes - You are now able to select predefined box sizes for general use.
- Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes are now available for selection in the "My Boxes" section of the Wizard.

- My Web Pages
- The My Web Pages section Interface has been fully re-vamped and re-designed to provide you with an easier way to manage your pages and templates.
- HTML Editor / WYSIWYG - The Wizard now comes with an advanced built-in HTML editor. Powerful and thorough, it allows you to make all changes necessary to your Template, Content Pages or Cart Layouts without having to leave the Fortune3 Wizard. Because of this new feature, we have completely removed the previous outdated editor and the previous Wizard's Web Page Generator.
- Adding a Content Page is now easy with our pre-designed Web Page Layouts and HTML Editor. You can now choose from a variety of pre-designed layouts for your Content Pages, and easily customize them with the intuitive HTML Editor.
- New 2010 Templates! You have 9 new and attractive templates with different color variations that you can choose for your store and fully customize.
- New Cart Templates - New Category and Product Layout (Strapped). You have a new and attractive Category Layout and Product Layout called Strapped that you can use for your cart templates.
- Several HTML tag incompatibilities have been fixed. For example, web designers can now freely use the HTML tags <div>, <ul>, <ol>, <li>, { and }, uppercase letters in links.
- “More Settings” split into 2 sections and Adding Links to Main Menu - All options found in the “More Settings” section of the wizard can now be found within either the “Cart Options” or “Menu Options” screens.
- “Cart Options” - This is the new "More Settings" screen, containing most of the options that were in the More Settings screen.
- “Menu Options” - In this new section you can add links to your Content Pages Menu, modify the look and feel of your Menus , and create new Menus based on specific fields or even Custom Fields such as “Browse by Price”, or "Browse by Brand". You can now also add links to external URLs and Pages to your Content Pages menu.
- "Search Options" - You can now change the way your Search Page works, selecting exactly what you want to search through, and adding filters and sorting options.
- Checkout Options - You can specify whether any custom checkout fields that you have created must be filled out (“Required” checkmark) before completing the checkout process.
- Gift-Wrapping - You’re now able to add an option for gift-wrapping within your checkout in the "Checkout Options" screen.
- My Products
- Image Options - We now have 3 distinct zoom types you can select from, Magic Zoom, Center Zoom, and Lightbox. You can now select the maximum and minimum sizes for your products within the Product and Category pages.
- The Properties screens of Categories, Products and Groups of Options are now split into several tabs for easier management.
- The "Product List" is now resizable by dragging the arrow line on the top left corner of the list.
- Search in Tree - You can now quickly find an item in the Product Tree by clicking on "Search in Tree" or hitting Ctrl + F.
- Bulk Changes - You can now make massive / bulk price and description changes to your products, categories, and options. Simply click on Bulk Changes on top of the My Products tree.
- No More Default Options or Alternate Options - Now, it's just Options. This is a more simplified way of setting up your options. The first option will be treated as the default option, but now you have full flexibility with option pricing.
- More options are now being offered in the Group of Options screen for using Qty Fields for your options, and controlling the price of the product based on the options ordered.
- The Main "My Products" screen now has properties, so you can fully configure the main "Products" page on your site (Products.html), like any other category.
- Any HTML OK section now has a "Edit HTML" button, which will open the new embedded HTML Editor / WYSIWYG Editor, so you can edit your products' descriptions without the use of an external HTML program.
- Show/Hide Categories and Groups of Options - You can now select if you want to show a category or group of option on retail, wholesale, both or hide it. This option is in the “More Info” tab when viewing a category’s properties or in the "Webpage Info" tab of a group of option's properties.
- Search Toolbar Options - You can now enable / disable the Search Toolbar in any of your categories, and fully customize it so that it displays the correct fields and filters for each of your categories. You can access this by going to a category's Properties screen, and clicking on Search Toolbar Options.
- You can now add unlimited type-in questions to your products by using the new "Add Question" feature.
- Product Properties Screen:
- You can now input the Brand / Manufacturer and MFG Part Number.
- There are two new options for Price; “This Product is Free” and “Add to Cart for Price”.
- Components Removed.
- Services Removed.
- You can now input your Avg. Cost of the product (for profit reporting) and specify a set up fee that you charge your customers for purchasing an item.
- Under the “More Info” tab you can now specify whether “This Product does not Ship” or “This Product Ships Separately (in its own box)”.
- Price Per Qty - There are now different ways to display the Price Per Qty price table.
