Pay-per-click (PPC) advertisements are one of the most known marketing strategies in the online world. With this, PPC advertising has now spread to the world of mobile internet
Why the Mobile Platform is Different
Despite having the same marketing goal, PPC strategies do not work the same in different platforms. What works on a regular browser will not work on a mobile searching tool.
Basically, what makes the mobile platform different from a regular platform (as in a desktop computer) is the ad copy and the various goals that searchers using a mobile device have. These goals require different tactics and strategies rather than the traditional search. The mobile platform and the traditional platform differ significantly in areas like keyword selection, user intent, and specific types of mobile devices.
Extending PPC Advertising to a Mobile Platform
Once you have already succeeded in making an effective marketing strategy in the desktop search platform, you might then consider extending your advertising to the mobile platform. To do this, a separate advertising campaign will have to be created for the mobile platform. This will enable you to customize the ad copy for general mobile users, as well as for those users of specific mobile devices.

Creating content and making that content live on the web is the first step to driving traffic towards that page. If youâre in ecommerce, have a blog, have a new site or whatever it is you do on the web, itâs all about creating and building content that not only will drive traffic from search engines but also from what is now the ever-expanding social media graph.
Itâs important to analyze your content once youâve had it for 2-4 weeks to see if there is something you are missing on that page and furthermore to always keep analyzing your content strategy and page optimization to make sure the content you are creating in the future is optimized as best as possible.
When we talk about content, for our purposes, we are talking about every single page you have on the web, from product pages, to category pages to blog post.
Itâs always important to analyze your content analytics individually and not your website as a whole. By doing this, you can grasp what content is working well and what users are responding to best.
View all these categories in your GOOGLE ANALYTICS account.
You should be aware of what the top content (top landing page) on your website is. Having an ecommerce website, there are some decisions you have to make when it comes to how you will display your category pages. What do we mean? Well, if you have a category about tennis rackets and letâs say you have a sub category on WILSON rackets, how will you display the products on the page?
Single Page View All Content vs. Portion Page Content
If you have a few products, letâs say 10 or less, than you will most likely display everything in one page, but what about if you have 70 Wilson rackets? Will you display 70 rackets on the category page or will you display 10-20 and then have the user click below to continue searching on to the next page.
Lucky for us, we have Google giving us some great insight from their webmaster blog post, âView-all in search results.â
âUser testing has taught us that searchers much prefer the view-all, single-page version of content over a component page containing only a portion of the same information with arbitrary page breaks (which cause the user to click ânextâ and load another URL).â

Q: I own an ecommerce website and we understand that shipping is a vital part of our business. Weâd like to get better rates on our shipping but we havenât had much luck contacting these companies and speak to the right person? Are there specific departments to talk to?
A: I know the simple answer is to call them, right? Even if that works, the best way to get the best rates from these companies is really to NEGOTIATE. If you donât have negotiating skills, let someone who does in your staff deal with them. In reality, if youâre involved in ecommerce, every aspect of the purchase process, from choosing service providers to product providers take negotiation skills to get the best possible deals so you can have the lowest overhead and rates.
