What is Ammolite?
An organic gemstone found on the Eastern slopes of Canada's Rocky Mountains. One of the most rare gemstones on Earth! Ammolite comes from the fossilized remains of Cretaceous period ammonites, squid like creatures that went extinct with the dinosaurs 70 million years ago! Due to tectonic pressure and processes of mineralization , the exquisite, spectrochromatic material, ammolite, was formed.
How to Care for Ammolite: Avoid using ultrasonic cleaners and steamers on ammolite. Also avoid chemicals, heat and scratches. The best way to clean your piece is with a warm, moist cloth.
