ABOUT COLUMBINE INK
Columbine Ink is the collaboration of Ron and Peg Williams and Anne Justen, who
is a principal in The Marketing Experience, Inc. Columbine Ink acquired the
Ghosts series from John Aldrich, who is widely recognized as an expert in the
history of Colorado’s gold and silver mining eras.
John’s collection of information and photographs, gathered over more than three
decades of personal research, contains a wealth of details that make the era
come alive and attests to the determination and toughness of Colorado’s mining
pioneers.
Ron (BA-speech communication) is an information technology manager. Peg (MS-
energy resources, MS-technical communications) is a certified petroleum
geologist and technical writer. Anne (BA-archaeology, MBA strategic planning) is
a former archaeological researcher and instructor who now specializes in
business strategies and communications, particularly for entrepreneurial
organizations. All three live in the Denver area and take advantage of
Colorado’s outdoors as much as possible.
Peg and Ron are avid hikers and cross-country skiers. They are very familiar
with Colorado’s high country and back country – the geology, terrain, and areas
for exceptional fishing and camping. Peg and Ron have visited most of the sites
in the Ghosts series. Anne once excavated an historic cellar that contained a
complete and still articulated skeleton of a horse – sometimes understanding
past peoples’ behaviors can be elusive, too.
We at Columbine Ink look forward to bringing you books and other resources that
tell the vibrant tales of Western history.
